One little lie sparks big feelings in “You, Me & Tuscany.”

You, Me & Tuscany brings a romantic comedy setup to the hills of Tuscany, and it only hits theaters on April 10. The film’s tagline says it best: “Sometimes the wrong place is right where you need to be.” The story pairs a messy choice with a picture-perfect setting. Then it lets love, food, dreams, and a single lie do the heavy lifting.
The film comes from producer Will Packer, known for Girls Trip and the Ride Along franchise. His past credits also include Night School, This Christmas, and Think Like a Man. This time, the hook centers on romance, mistaken identity, and an Italian villa that becomes a pressure cooker.
A villa, a lie, and a new recipe for life
The Little Mermaid star Halle Bailey stars as Anna, a young woman stuck in her twenties. She has shelved her chef dreams. Instead, she drifts through bad choices and worse timing. After she loses a house-sitting job and her place to stay, she meets Matteo. He is a charming Italian with an empty villa. Anna takes the bait and flies to Italy, despite warnings from her blunt best friend, Claire.

Claire is played by Aziza Scott, known for Home Before Dark. Anna plans to crash for one night. The plan collapses when Matteo’s mother, Gabriella, arrives unexpectedly. Gabriella is played by Isabella Ferrari.
In a panic, Anna lets Gabriella believe she is Matteo’s fiancée. The lie buys her time. It also pulls her deeper into a family moment she never earned.
The heat rises when Michael arrives
The situation gets more complicated when Matteo’s cousin, Michael, shows up. Black Bag and Bridgerton star Regé-Jean Page plays Michael. He is best known for Bridgerton and also appears in Black Bag.

Anna expects awkward small talk and a quick exit. Instead, she finds herself drawn to Michael. Their chemistry threatens to expose the engagement story. It also pushes Anna toward choices that could reshape her life.
An international cast and a familiar rom-com flavor
Lorenzo de Moor plays Matteo, with Marco Calvani as a taxi driver who befriends Anna in Italy. Nia Vardalos plays Mrs. Dunn, Anna’s house-sitting client. Vardalos is an Oscar-nominated performer known for My Big Fat Greek Wedding.
The ensemble leans into culture clash comedy. It also makes room for softer moments about ambition, honesty and belonging.
Behind the camera
Kat Coiro directs the film. Her credits include Marry Me and Matlock. Ryan Engle wrote the screenplay, after work on Rampage and Beast. He also developed the original idea with Kristin Engle.
Johanna Byer produces alongside Packer for Will Packer Productions. The film plays as a glossy rom-com with a ticking clock. Anna must decide who she wants to be before the truth shows up.
You, Me & Tuscany opens only in theaters April 10.
