Avatar: Seven Havens Trailer Sees Twin Benders Hunted in a Dark Future

The next Avatar must reunite with her long-lost twin and protect civilization’s final strongholds.

A new world means a new Avatar, but that might not be good news. The newest trailer for Avatar: Seven Havens fully realizes that idea as the people of the Seven Havens launch a manhunt against the once-proclaimed hero. The series will premiere on October 9.

Unlike Aang and Korra, this new Avatar is very different.

In Avatar: Seven Havens, the Avatar is Pavi, a young earthbender who discovers she has the power of all four elements. However, due to mysterious events surrounding Korra, the world now despises the Avatar. That is, until Pavi comes across Jae, a peculiar character Pavi saves.

However, after discovering her powers, Pavi also finds Nisha, her long-lost twin sister. Together, the two must prove that the Avatar is the heroic savior that everyone once admired. Unfortunately, with the 225-year time-jump, which was confirmed by executive producer Sehaj Sethi in an interview with Polygon, there’s much that needs to be fixed. Particularly, there was a clue showing Korra in a mysterious mural that depicting how the world views her.

Previously, Avatar: The Last Airbender fans got to see the teaser for Seven Havens back at this year’s San Diego Comic Con. Although the teaser revealed brief plot points involving Pavi, Nisha, and Korra, it appears that Pavi and Nisha’s journey will see them trying to understand why the world hated the Avatar. That may have something to do with the Spirit Realm and the Order of the White Lotus, but time will tell.

Avatar: Seven Havens stars Saheli Khan as Pavi, Aishu Devan as Nisha, Akshay Khanna as Karthik, Major Curda as Jae, Sakina Jaffrey as Agam, Darren Barnet as Daemin, Dianne Doan as Zi, and Dee Bradley Baker as Geet and Ruhi.

Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko are co-creators and executive producers for Avatar: Seven Havens. Ethan Spaulding is executive producer and Sehaj Sethi is co-executive producer. The series is produced by Avatar Studios and Nickelodeon Animation Studios.

Avatar: Seven Havens Book 1 premieres globally on Friday, October 9, with a 3-episode premiere. Three new episodes will release every week. Details on Book 2 will release at a later date.
