Bluey expands on Disney+ with stage show special, minisodes, and major new experiences.

The global phenomenon Bluey continues to grow in a big way as Disney+ adds new content to the beloved animated universe. Fans of the Heeler family will soon have even more ways to experience the wildly popular series with a televised stage show, a collection of short-form minisodes, and new experiences across Disney destinations.
The announcements arrive as Bluey remains one of the biggest shows on streaming. In fact, the animated favorite finished 2025 as the most-streamed program in the United States for the second year in a row, generating an astonishing 45.2 billion minutes viewed. The milestone cements the show’s place as one of the most influential children’s series of the modern era.
With new releases on the horizon and a feature film already announced, the Bluey universe is only getting bigger.
“Bluey’s Big Play – The Stage Show” Comes to Disney+
One of the biggest additions arriving on Disney+ is “Bluey’s Big Play – The Stage Show.” It is a televised version of the hit theatrical production that has toured internationally.
The special adapts the Emmy Award–winning animated series into a live stage experience featuring life-sized Bluey characters brought to life by expert puppeteers. The production captures the charm, humor, and heartfelt storytelling that made the series a global hit.

The story for the stage show comes directly from Bluey creator Joe Brumm, ensuring the special remains true to the tone and spirit of the original series. The music is composed by Joff Bush, whose work has helped define the show’s playful and emotional soundtrack.
“Bluey’s Big Play – The Stage Show” is produced by BBC Studios Kids & Family Productions in association with Ludo Studio, Andrew Kay, and Windmill Theatre Co. Executive producers include Tom Cousins and Anna Perowne, with international distribution handled by BBC Studios.
The special brings the theatrical experience into living rooms for families who may not have had the chance to see the show on tour.
Bluey Minisodes Arrive on Disney+ for the First Time
In addition to the stage show, Disney+ will also debut a collection of Bluey Minisodes that were previously only available online and in Australia.
The short-form episodes run between one and three minutes and highlight small, playful moments featuring Bluey and her sister Bingo. Each mini story explores the everyday games, imagination, and family humor that define the series.
The minisode collection includes:
- Humpty Dumpty
- Green Bottles
- Flying Saucer
- Tea Party
- Pea Pod Sausages
- Old Macdonald
- Honk
- Lollipop Song
- Cinderella
- Make Mum Laugh
These quick stories provide fans with bite-sized adventures while expanding the world and personality of the characters.
The Bluey Universe Continues to Grow
The upcoming Disney+ additions are just one part of the brand’s massive expansion across entertainment platforms.
BBC Studios and Walt Disney Studios have already confirmed that a feature-length Bluey movie is on the way, with plans to release the film in theaters in 2027. The announcement marks a major step forward for the franchise as it moves from television to the big screen.

Meanwhile, Bluey is also becoming a larger presence across Disney Experiences, bringing the beloved characters directly to fans around the world.
Bluey Comes to Disney Parks and Experiences
Beginning in 2026, fans will be able to interact with Bluey and her sister Bingo through several new Disney experiences.
At Disneyland Park, a new event titled “Bluey’s Best Day Ever!” will transform the Fantasyland Theatre into a playful fair inspired by the series. Guests will see Bluey and Bingo appear throughout the day alongside musicians and performers celebrating the show’s most memorable episodes.
Over at Walt Disney World Resort, the characters will also arrive at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Visitors who ride the Wildlife Express Train to Conservation Station will be able to play games inspired by the series, take photos with Bluey and Bingo, and explore exhibits featuring animals native to Australia.
The fun extends to the seas as well. Bluey and Bingo have already begun appearing aboard Disney Cruise Line, hosting dance parties, greetings, and family activities for guests sailing in 2026.
Bluey’s Cultural Impact Keeps Growing
Few animated series in recent years have matched the impact of Bluey. What began as a charming Australian children’s show has grown into a worldwide phenomenon embraced by families of all ages.
Its mix of humor, heartfelt storytelling, and imaginative play resonates just as strongly with parents as it does with children. That universal appeal has helped the series dominate streaming charts. It also propelled Bluey into live theater, theme parks, cruises, and soon even theaters.
With new Disney+ specials arriving and a movie on the horizon, the adventures of Bluey, Bingo, and the Heeler family are far from slowing down. In fact, they may just be getting started.
