Superman, The Boys, Project Hail Mary and Widow’s Bay Lead Critics Choice 2026 Super Awards

The complete list of movie and television winners includes Superman, The Boys, Project Hail Mary, Widow’s Bay, The Furious and Obsession.

The Critics Choice Association has revealed the winners of the sixth annual Critics Choice Super Awards, celebrating the movies and television shows that keep fans talking. As a proud member of the Critics Choice Association, I also serve on the Super Awards nominating committee, helping recognize standout achievements across some of the most popular and fan-obsessed genres in entertainment.

The annual awards honor superhero, comic book, video game, action, horror, science fiction, and fantasy projects across movies and television. The Boys and Widow’s Bay were the biggest television winners, collecting three awards each. Meanwhile, Obsession, Project Hail Mary, Superman, and The Furious led the movie categories with two victories apiece.

The Boys And Widow’s Bay Lead Television Winners

The Boys earned three wins from its five nominations. The Prime Video hit shared Best Superhero Series, Limited Series, or Made-for-TV Movie with Spider-Noir. Antony Starr won Best Actor in a Superhero Series, Limited Series, or Made-for-TV Movie for his performance as Homelander. He also received Best Villain in a Series, Limited Series, or Made-for-TV Movie.

Widow’s Bay swept all three categories in which it was nominated. The series won Best Horror Series, Limited Series or Made-for-TV Movie, while Matthew Rhys and Kate O’Flynn received the acting awards in the horror television categories. Paradise star Sterling K. Brown was another major television winner. Brown earned Best Actor in an Action Series, Limited Series or Made-for-TV Movie and Best Actor in a Science Fiction/Fantasy Series, Limited Series or Made-for-TV Movie.

Pluribus was named Best Science Fiction/Fantasy Series, Limited Series, or Made-for-TV Movie. Rhea Seehorn also won Best Actress in a Science Fiction/Fantasy Series, Limited Series or Made-for-TV Movie. Task received Best Action Series, Limited Series, or Made-for-TV Movie. Kaitlin Olson won Best Actress in an Action Series for High Potential, while Danielle Brooks earned Best Actress in a Superhero Series for Peacemaker.

Superman, Project Hail Mary, and The Furious Win Big

Superman flew to the top of the superhero movie categories with two wins. The film was named Best Superhero Movie, while David Corenswet received Best Actor in a Superhero Movie for his performance as the Man of Steel. Supergirl star Milly Alcock completed a major showing for DC by winning Best Actress in a Superhero Movie.

Project Hail Mary earned Best Science Fiction/Fantasy Movie, with Ryan Gosling receiving Best Actor in a Science Fiction/Fantasy Movie. Emily Blunt won Best Actress in the category for Disclosure Day.

The Furious was named Best Action Movie, while Xie Miao earned Best Actor in an Action Movie. Charlize Theron received Best Actress in an Action Movie for Apex. Obsession dominated the horror movie categories with victories for Best Horror Movie and Best Actress in a Horror Movie for Inde Navarrette. Ralph Fiennes earned Best Actor in a Horror Movie for 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple.

Amy Madigan’s memorable performance in Weapons earned her Best Villain in a Movie.

Good Boy Star Indy Receives Special Honor

The Critics Choice Super Awards also presented a special honor recognizing one of the year’s most unforgettable horror performances. Indy, the Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever and four-legged star of IFC’s Good Boy, received the Best Good Boy in a Horror Movie award for his scene-stealing performance.

The special award celebrates Indy’s work as the loyal canine at the center of the supernatural thriller. His performance helped turn Good Boy into one of the year’s most talked-about horror films.
