Katie Wetch, Morgan Berry, Cristina Vee, Yussef Benelbar and Madeleine Morris reveal how their characters evolve across three Crunchyroll anime series.

Fall season is in full swing, which means that anime fans can finally catch up on some of their favorite shows on Crunchyroll. With Anime NYC 2026 coming and going last month, Crunchyroll continues to give fans some exciting looks into their currently streaming shows. Some of these animes include Clevatess II, Jaadugar: A Witch in Mongolia, and Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation Season 3.
This time, Crunchyroll highlighted these three series as they reach their endgames. Although all of these shows are completely different from one another, they offer some action-packed moments, iconic characters, and much more. Deep down, each series is special in their own ways and fans, new and old, have latched onto those things easily.
I had the opportunity to speak with the voice casts behind Clevatess II, Jaadugar: A Witch in Mongolia, and Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation Season 3. Check them out down below!
Clevatess II‘s Katie Wetch and Morgan Berry Discuss Alicia and Milea and Klen’s Humanity
For Clevatess II, I spoke with stars Katie Wetch and Morgan Berry, who voice Alicia and Klen respectively. During our conversation, we talked about some of the show’s iconic moments, like when Episode 1 saw Klen shrinking Alicia and assigning himself the teacher role. In that episode, some have pointed out the uncanny resemblance betwen Alicia and Milea, which Wetch went into.
“In terms of Alicia having to navigate this smaller figure, I love that,” Wetch explained. “First of all, I love the interaction between the two of them when it happens. I was like, ‘I’m gonna have so much fun this season,’ and Morgan’s fantastic and always fun to play off of.”
“I feel like Season 1 is very much like, ‘Remember who you are, or you can be this way, this is who you are. There’s strength in you.’ Now, we’re moving into the space of this reminding of, ‘Hey, you are capable of this. You are a hero, okay, we’ve established now, remember what you can do.’ She’s using all of these new tactics that she’s found within herself, that she’s picked up from her relationships with other people. I love that you can, I keep calling them like little clan-isms.”
Memorable Episode 2
Another moment that many have pointed out is in Episode 2, where Klen deliberately maintained his harmless teacher persona, but was fascinated by Luna’s potential. Contrasting with how Klen acted in Season 1, fans are wondering if Klen is genuinely attached to humanity, which Berry also delved into.
“I feel that there is a connection there a genuine connection, whether he wants it to be or not,” Berry began. “I sense these moments that he shows he’s proud of Luna. We can see that in the dialogue between Klen and Luna and that dynamic has grown over their journey.”
“I do feel that there is a bit of an attachment, especially considering that he’s the one who named Luna. He’s the one who gave that name specifically to this baby. Sometimes you grow attached to the things you name. I do feel that that could be one reason that he’s grown closer to Luna, but I do like the idea that he is very proud of Luna and loves watching them grow up.”
When To Watch
Clevatess II is available to stream now on Crunchyroll every Wednesday at 5:00 AM PT / 3:00 AM ET. Jaadugar: A Witch in Mongolia‘s Cristina Vee and Yussef Benelbar Talk the Power of Knowledge and Control
For Jaadugar: A Witch in Mongolia, I spoke with stars Cristina Vee and Yussef Benelbar, who voice Sitara and Muhammad respectively. Given how knowledge and strength play a particular role in the series, Vee and Benelbar reflected on how both elements impact Sitara’s physical and emotional journey throughout.
“I think that is the big theme of the show,” Vee began. “She uses everything to her disposal to survive in this world. We get to really see this applied in a very literal sense, where she uses what she knows to survive and even to gain power.”
“For me, as a character portraying it, I noticed that Sitara was uncomfortable and kind of weary of her situation,” Benelbar added. “My whole character imprint on her is that knowledge doesn’t have to be something you’re afraid of. It’s something that you can utilize to better yourself and to really understand your situation.
“I gave her the keys to the car. I know you mentioned control. It’s up to Sitara to do whatever she wants for it.”
Vee and Benelbar Discussed Moments That Resonated With Them The Most
Considering how Sitara and Muhammad’s relationship was developed in the first few episodes, there were some particular ones that stood out to Vee and Benelbar.
“It was a time where she was smiling and just like very affable,” Vee recalled. “Inside, she basically says something like, ‘I’m going to take them all down, you know, like immediately on the heels of that.’ That just shows us like she’s a force to be reckoned with.”
“I think the first thing was the first thing, which is like dropping that bedpan and everyone’s freaking out,” Benelbar recalled. “Sitara’s like, ‘What’s going on?’ Once I explain, like, ‘This is knowledge, you can use it for your benefit.’ She has this glint in her eye and she’s like, ‘Oh, wow, this is amazing.’ I feel like I’m making a connection with her.”
“The second thing is, and I think it’s beautifully told and beautifully shown in the first episode, is when I have this mystic moment of talking about this is why I do this. This is why I’m me. You see the little leaves float out and they zoom out. [It] just shows like the gravitas and the whole vision of like, this is a worldly thing.”

Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation Season 3’s Madeleine Morris Talks Rudeus’ Evolution and Emotional Reunions
For Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation Season 3, I reunited with Madeleine Morris, who voices series protagonst Rudeus. Since the previous seasons, Rudeus has been through much, like going through the Demon Continent to eventually finding love. In our conversation, Morris reflected on how Rudeus’ literal and metaphorical growth changed how he views living a fulfilling life.
“I like that you called out his willingness and ability to look inward and examine his own reactions to things,” Morris noted. “That is something that I remind myself to do as a human being, really, but certainly as an actor.”
“I ate and drank and slept Rudeus. Watching him grow into a person who can have these quieter, more intimate, more fulfilling moments has been rewarding to me as somebody who now feels very maternal about him as well.”
“In the last episode of Season 2, he holds his baby daughter for the first time and you can see it on his face. He’s struck with, like, ‘Oh my god, this is the thing that I was always supposed to do. I was supposed to be a dad!'”
One episode that fans, and Morris, particularly loved seeing was Episode 6.
On that episode, viewers got to watch Rudeus reunite with Sara, who Rudeus first fell in love with back in Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation Season 1. Morris went in-depth with how she viewed Rudeus and Sara’s conversation and the closure of that relationship.
“At the start of that episode, he’s very avoidant,” Morris explained. “He does not want to have a conversation with her. I think he is embarrassed to see her and I don’t think he wants to avoid her, I think he wants her to avoid him.”
“I think there’s a lot of fear in him when he sees her show up again and I think that is bubbling under the surface when Sylphie is like, ‘Didn’t you and her have a thing at one point?’ He’s like, ‘No, we didn’t have a thing. We almost had a thing, but then we didn’t have a thing.'”
“I think that realigns his emotional state in that moment to be like, ‘I do need to go hash this out. This isn’t right. I have a really fantastic opportunity here to get some genuine closure on something that hurt both of us very badly and it would be foolish of me to let that chance slide.’ I, in real life, have had those conversations. Also, they’re hard to have and they’re scary to start.”
“I’m glad that they got to have that closure, but I get the sense from him that he said that because he needed to for him. And he was not going to be affected either way by her reaction to it. I think that’s incredibly mature. I think that’s something that I struggle with still.”
