Dora the Explorer series features brand-new animation.

Paramount+ is preparing for the highly anticipated return of the popular Latina heroine Dora the Explorer. The new series will consist of 26 CG-animated episodes produced by Nickelodeon Animation Studios. They will each be 11 minutes long and premiere on Friday, April 12, exclusively on Paramount+ in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, and Australia. Additionally, twenty episodes will be available for streaming in all Paramount+ international markets except France and Japan on the same day. The series will also air on Nickelodeon internationally at a later date. Watch the trailer below!
The highly-anticipated series is set to provide fresh excitement.
It will feature brand-new CG animation and imaginative character-driven storylines. Viewers can expect to follow the adventures of the iconic bilingual explorer, Dora. She is voiced by Diana Zermeño and joined by her loyal monkey companion, Boots, voiced by Asher Colton Spence, as they journey through a fantastical rainforest. Along with their dependable guide, Map, voiced by Anairis Quiñones, Dora and her friends will encounter various challenges, including the mischievous fox, Swiper, voiced by Marc Weiner.
Fans will also be thrilled to see Kathleen Herles, the original voice of Dora, returning to the series. She will voice Mami. Also, Mike Smith Rivera is joining the cast as Papi. Maria Canals-Barrera will join the stellar cast as Abuela, while Danny Burstein will play the Grumpy Old Troll role and The Fiesta Trio’s Frog and Marmoset. There will be a host of other talented performers will be featured. The series will also feature guest appearances from Taboo as Quickatoo and Kate del Castillo as Ale the Alebrije.
Nickelodeon has also launched a new series.
“Dora’s Recipe for Adventure” will be a podcast for preschoolers and families. The podcast has ten episodes and follows Dora and her friends as they explore the rainforest to find ingredients for her family’s favorite dishes. From stone soup to fried sweet plantains, the podcast celebrates culture, food, family, and self-acceptance. “Dora’s Recipe for Adventure” is on all major podcast platforms.
“Dora the Explorer” first premiered on Nickelodeon in 2000 and has since become a global phenomenon. It is one of the most-watched preschool programs, loved by millions of children worldwide. The show is available in over 150 countries and territories, with translations in 32 languages across Nickelodeon channels, Paramount+, and syndication. Dora continues to inspire and entertain generations.
