THE BLACK PHONE and M3GAN stars Madeleine and Violet McGraw join Andrew Koji for a new action-comedy from director Shaun Paul Piccinino.

Madeleine McGraw and Violet McGraw are teaming up for a new big-screen adventure in DOUBLE TROUBLE. This action-comedy sends the real-life sisters into the middle of a wild Las Vegas jewelry heist.
The upcoming film stars Madeleine McGraw, Violet McGraw, Azizi Donnelly, Jack Griffo and Andrew Koji. Shaun Paul Piccinino directs from a screenplay by John Ducey.
DOUBLE TROUBLE follows two quick-witted sisters who unexpectedly become caught up in a full-blown jewelry heist while in Las Vegas. With their parents unaware that they are missing, the sisters recruit a jaded security guard and must survive a group of bumbling henchmen while trying to stop the mastermind behind the robbery.
The film gives the McGraw sisters another opportunity to share the screen after previously appearing together in the horror movie THE CURSE OF THE NECKLACE. This time, however, the sisters move away from supernatural scares and into a family-friendly mix of comedy, action, and crime.
Madeleine McGraw Continues Her Rise After THE BLACK PHONE
Madeleine McGraw has built an impressive résumé across horror, animation, superhero movies and television.
She became a breakout favorite as Gwen Blake in Scott Derrickson’s THE BLACK PHONE, starring alongside Mason Thames and Ethan Hawke. McGraw later returned as Gwen in BLACK PHONE 2, expanding a role that has become one of the most recognizable of her young career.
Her credits extend well beyond horror. McGraw voiced Bonnie in Pixar’s TOY STORY 4 and young Katie in THE MITCHELLS VS. THE MACHINES. She also appeared as young Hope van Dyne in ANT-MAN AND THE WASP and young Amara Namani in PACIFIC RIM UPRISING. Her television work includes OUTCAST and three seasons as Zoey Campbell in Disney’s SECRETS OF SULPHUR SPRINGS.
McGraw and her younger sister previously starred together in THE CURSE OF THE NECKLACE, with Madeleine also serving as an executive producer on the project.
Nerdtropolis previously interviewed Madeleine McGraw about her career and work on THE BLACK PHONE franchise. DOUBLE TROUBLE offers audiences a much different side of the actress, trading supernatural horror for a fast-moving Las Vegas adventure.
Violet McGraw Goes From M3GAN to DOUBLE TROUBLE
Violet McGraw has established an equally impressive career, especially for fans of horror and genre entertainment.
She starred as Cady in the Blumhouse hit M3GAN before reprising the role in M3GAN 2.0. She also played young Yelena Belova in Marvel Studios’ BLACK WIDOW and returned to the role in THUNDERBOLTS*.
Before M3GAN turned her into a familiar face for horror audiences, McGraw played young Nell Crain in Mike Flanagan’s acclaimed Netflix series THE HAUNTING OF HILL HOUSE. Her other credits include DOCTOR SLEEP, SEPARATION, OUR FRIEND and THE LIFE OF CHUCK.
The sisters have therefore developed an interesting connection to modern horror. Madeleine became a major part of THE BLACK PHONE franchise while Violet led M3GAN and M3GAN 2.0. DOUBLE TROUBLE gives them the chance to bring that experience and sibling chemistry into an entirely different genre.
Madeleine stars as Charlotte in the film, while Violet plays Willow.
Andrew Koji Joins the McGraw Sisters
DOUBLE TROUBLE also adds considerable action experience through Andrew Koji, who plays David, the security guard drawn into the sisters’ dangerous adventure.
Koji is best known for starring as Ah Sahm in the martial arts series WARRIOR. The actor and martial artist subsequently joined major Hollywood action productions, playing Storm Shadow opposite Henry Golding in SNAKE EYES and Yuichi Kimura, also known as The Father, in David Leitch’s BULLET TRAIN. His film credits also include BOY KILLS WORLD.
Those roles have allowed Koji to showcase both his dramatic abilities and extensive action background. Pairing him with the McGraw sisters creates an intriguing combination for DOUBLE TROUBLE, especially since the story requires the unlikely group to take on criminals during a Las Vegas heist.
Nerdtropolis has also interviewed Koji.
DOUBLE TROUBLE Takes Its Cast to Las Vegas
The supporting cast includes Azizi Donnelly as Robyn and Jack Griffo as Juniper, with Jesse La Flair, Nick Ricciardi and writer John Ducey also appearing in the film.
At the center of the story is a diamond gauntlet and a holiday heist that quickly gets out of control. Charlotte and Willow must work with David to outsmart a master thief and recover the valuable item while keeping their disappearance hidden from their parents.

The setup gives DOUBLE TROUBLE the ingredients for an old-school family adventure: two kids in over their heads, dangerous criminals, an unlikely adult ally, and a ticking clock before their parents discover what has happened.
With Madeleine and Violet McGraw’s established chemistry as real-life sisters and Koji’s action background, DOUBLE TROUBLE offers a very different kind of adventure.
DOUBLE TROUBLE arrives October 9, 2026.
