Tom Cruise returns as Ethan Hunt in explosive new Mission: Impossible chapter.
Paramount Pictures and Skydance have released the official trailer for Mission: Impossible—The Final Reckoning. It is the highly anticipated next chapter in the long-running spy franchise. The film will debut exclusively in theaters on May 23, 2025. It will be available in Dolby Cinema, 4DX, ScreenX, premium large formats, and IMAX.

Billed as the epic conclusion to the Mission: Impossible saga, the new trailer sets the stage for an intense and emotional ride. Moviegoers can expect high-octane action, globe-spanning espionage, and plenty of jaw-dropping moments. As Ethan Hunt confronts the fallout of his past, the stakes have never been higher.
Tom Cruise returns as Ethan Hunt in Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning, a story built around the idea that “our lives are the sum of our choices.” This chapter marks another intense and emotional mission for Hunt as the stakes reach new heights. The film is directed by Christopher McQuarrie, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Erik Jendresen. It continues the legacy of the original television series created by Bruce Geller.
The star-studded cast features Hayley Atwell, Ving Rhames, Simon Pegg, and Esai Morales. Joining them are Pom Klementieff, Henry Czerny, Mariela Garriga, Holt McCallany, Janet McTeer, Nick Offerman, and Hannah Waddingham. The ensemble also includes Tramell Tillman, Shea Whigham, Greg Tarzan Davis, Charles Parnell, Mark Gatiss, Rolf Saxon, Lucy Tulugarjuk, and Angela Bassett.
Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning is expected to deliver the kind of jaw-dropping stunts and white-knuckle storytelling that has made the franchise a global phenomenon. Cruise’s last turn as Ethan Hunt in Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One was praised for pushing cinematic boundaries.
