Martin Scorsese’s “Killers of the Flower Moon” is a star-studded epic.

Martin Scorsese’s long-awaited crime movie, “Killers of the Flower Moon,” will be available on Apple TV+ from January 12th. The film features a star-studded cast and explores a true crime story set against the backdrop of the American West. The movie was released digitally and on-demand last month. The movie is based on the real-life story of the Osage Nation.
They are a Native American tribe whose lives were transformed when oil was discovered beneath their land. The story follows the unlikely love story between Ernest Burkhart, played by Leonardo DiCaprio, and Mollie Kyle, played by Lily Gladstone, and the conflict between love and betrayal. The legendary Martin Scorsese directed the film featuring Robert De Niro and Jesse Plemons in key roles.

The movie revolves around one of the FBI’s earliest homicide cases that dates back to its inception under J. Edgar Hoover.
The storyline combines suspicion, murder, and the sudden riches that came the way of the Osage people, making them some of the most affluent people in the world overnight. One of the most notable aspects of the film is the unwavering dedication of the lead actors. DiCaprio, De Niro, and Gladstone went above and beyond to learn Osage, the language of the Osage Nation. By doing so, they demonstrated their commitment to authenticity in portraying the film’s characters and historical context.

It is worth noting that Scorsese, DiCaprio, and De Niro have collaborated on a single project for the first time. This film is particularly significant because it marks a reunion for DiCaprio and De Niro, who previously worked together on “This Boy’s Life” three decades ago. Behind the scenes, Martin Scorsese’s partnership with editor Thelma Schoonmaker continues for their 21st feature film. Schoonmaker, the only woman to have received three Oscars in the Editing category, has solidified her place in cinema history. The cinematography of “Killers of the Flower Moon,” headed by Rodrigo Prieto, offers a unique visual perspective. Prieto, well-known for his work on Taylor Swift’s music videos, adds a distinct touch to the film. The collaborative effort also includes production designer Jack Fisk, who Paul Thomas Anderson suggested. Fisk built sets from scratch, providing an authentic 1920s atmosphere.

“Killers of the Flower Moon” has an exceptional cast and production team, but the costumes used in the movie also hold a lot of historical value. The Osage actors in the film have contributed their family heirloom costumes, which adds a cultural richness to the overall narrative by connecting the present to the past. This film is not just a regular movie but an immersive 3-hour and 26-minute cinematic journey into a dark chapter of American history. A team of industry veterans has meticulously crafted the film. As it lands on Apple TV+, it promises to offer a gripping and visually stunning experience, combining the storytelling prowess of Scorsese with the remarkable performances of the talented cast.
