Live-Action How to Train Your Dragon hits theaters on June 13th 2025.

DreamWorks Animation has unveiled the trailer for the live-action adaptation of How to Train Your Dragon. The film is highly anticipated and set to hit theaters on June 13. Directed by Dean DeBlois, the creative force behind the original animated trilogy, the film reimagines the beloved saga with cutting-edge realism and a star-studded cast.

The story returns to the Viking isle of Berk. Generations of hostility between humans and dragons face a challenge from Hiccup. Hiccup is the inventive yet underestimated son of Chief Stoick the Vast. Mason Thames plays Hiccup in The Black Phone. Gerard Butler, who reprises his iconic voice role, portrays Chief Stoick. Hiccup forms a bond with Toothless, a rare and feared Night Fury dragon. This relationship turns tradition on its head. It forges a path of understanding between two warring worlds.
