Nintendo just dropped big news for Legend of Zelda fans everywhere: the beloved video game series is officially coming to life on the big screen with a live-action film. The movie, produced with Sony Pictures and directed by Wes Ball, now has its main cast.
Shigeru Miyamoto, the legendary creator behind Zelda, made the announcement himself. “I am pleased to announce that for the live-action film of The Legend of Zelda, Zelda will be played by Bo Bragason, and Link by Benjamin Evan Ainsworth. I am very much looking forward to seeing both of them on the big screen,” Miyamoto shared. The movie is set to hit theaters May 7, 2027.
