The Sandlot Cast Reunites for Dugout Dads Comedy Series

Patrick Renna reunites much of the beloved The Sandlot cast alongside Boy Meets World star Danielle Fishel for Dugout Dads.

More than three decades after The Sandlot became one of the most beloved sports movies ever made, many of its original stars are stepping back onto the baseball field together for a brand-new comedy.

Patrick Renna has teamed with Kyle Howard to create Dugout Dads, a family comedy produced through Hambino Media that reunites much of the cast from the 1993 classic. The series premieres on YouTube on August 26 and marks the first official reunion featuring many of the film’s original stars.

While the series tells an entirely new story, seeing these familiar faces together again marks the first official reunion of much of the original cast in more than 30 years.

According to the official synopsis, when an idealistic dad (Renna) volunteers to coach his kids’ Little League team, he discovers that the most unruly players on the field aren’t the ten-year-olds… they’re the other coaches, parents, and sometimes himself. Throughout the season, Coach Patrick finds himself constantly at odds with his own advice to the kids: baseball is supposed to be FUN.

By shifting the focus from kids on the field to the adults in the stands and dugout, Dugout Dads promises a relatable comedy about parenthood, competition, and remembering why youth sports exist in the first place.

A Spiritual Successor to The Sandlot
