PlayStation classic ‘Until Dawn’ gets big-screen adaptation this Spring.

Horror fans, mark your calendars: Until Dawn, a spine-tingling adaptation of the acclaimed PlayStation Studios video game, is set to hit theaters on April 25, 2025. Directed by David F. Sandberg (Shazam!, Lights Out) and penned by Blair Butler (Polaroid) and Gary Dauberman (It, Annabelle Comes Home), the film promises to deliver a terrifying twist on the classic survival horror genre.

The story follows Clover, played by Ella Rubin (The Tender Bar), who ventures into a remote valley one year after her sister Melanie’s mysterious disappearance. Accompanied by her friends—played by Michael Cimino (Love, Victor), Odessa A’zion (Hellraiser), Ji-young Yoo (Snowpiercer), Belmont Cameli (Saved by the Bell), and Maia Mitchell (The Fosters)—Clover’s search for answers leads them to an abandoned visitor center.

What begins as a suspenseful investigation soon spirals into a deadly game of survival as a masked killer hunts the group. One by one, they are brutally murdered—only to awaken back at the start of the same horrifying evening. Trapped in a terrifying time loop, Clover and her friends must endure escalating threats, with each loop revealing new and more sinister dangers. As their deaths mount, they uncover a chilling truth: their chances to escape are dwindling, and they must outwit the killer to survive until dawn.
Peter Stormare (Fargo, John Wick: Chapter 2) is rounding out the cast. His role is sure to intrigue fans of the original game, in which he played such a memorable character.

Sandberg’s knack for atmospheric tension combines with the game’s interactive storytelling roots. Until Dawn promises to deliver edge-of-your-seat terror. It explores themes of sacrifice, morality, and survival.
