Behind the scenes of Wednesday Season 2.

Netflix has unveiled an exciting first look at Wednesday Season 2, giving fans a glimpse behind the scenes as the gothic hit series prepares to return in 2025. Jenna Ortega, who captivated audiences with her portrayal of Wednesday Addams, will reprise her role as the darkly brilliant and socially outcast teen. Ortega is also set to produce this upcoming season. The sneak peek offers a look at returning cast members Emma Myers (Enid Sinclair), Joy Sunday (Bianca Barclay), Catherine Zeta-Jones (Morticia Addams), and Luis Guzmán (Gomez Addams). Also featured is director and executive producer Tim Burton, whose signature style helped define the series’ eerie aesthetic.
Season 2 will continue to follow Wednesday’s supernatural adventures at Nevermore Academy, where her sleuthing skills and morbid tendencies take center stage. The show’s renewal was announced in January 2023 with the promise of more dark and twisted storylines, teasing that the next chapter will feature “more torture.” Wednesday wouldn’t have it any other way.
As part-time detective, part-time mystery author, and full-time misfit, Ortega’s Wednesday will delve deeper into the academy’s sinister secrets. Returning alongside Ortega are fan favorites Emma Myers, Joy Sunday, Moosa Mostafa (Eugene), Georgie Farmer (Ajax), and Victor Dorobantu (Thing), all reprising their roles. In Season 2, the world of Wednesday will expand with new characters. Joining the cast as series regulars are Steve Buscemi (Boardwalk Empire), Billie Piper (I Hate Suzie), Evie Templeton (Return to Silent Hill), Owen Painter (The Handmaid’s Tale), and Noah Taylor (Park Avenue).
The upcoming season will also feature guest appearances from notable actors.
It includes Christopher Lloyd, who played Uncle Fester in the Addams Family films, Joanna Lumley (Absolutely Fabulous), Thandiwe Newton (Westworld), Frances O’Connor (The Missing), Haley Joel Osment (The Sixth Sense), Heather Matarazzo (The Princess Diaries), and Joonas Suotamo (Star Wars franchise). Returning cast members Catherine Zeta-Jones, Luis Guzmán, Isaac Ordonez (Pugsley Addams), and Luyanda Unati Lewis-Nyawo (Deputy Santiago) are all set to become series regulars. Meanwhile, Jamie McShane (Sheriff Galpin) and Fred Armisen (Uncle Fester) will return in guest roles.
As anticipation builds for Wednesday Season 2, fans can look forward to more spooky mysteries, dark humor, and thrilling twists when it arrives on Netflix in 2025.
